To Brussel or Not To Brussel.....
You either love 'em or you hate 'em.
And I was in the hate 'em category until last night.
I have not-so-fond memories of Christmas dinners, and having one sad, wilted brussel sprout plonked on my plate. I'd choke down that bitter little green ball of yuck and vow that I'd NEVER feed them to my own children.
But, years have passed and I'm now discovering all the healthy foods you need to eat in order to maintain a well-blanaced diet. Wouldn't you know brussel sprouts keep popping up on the list!
Needing to know how to make these things palatable, I went to the place I ask all my burning questions....Facebook!
And suddenly my wall was flooded with people *swearing* by certain recipes!
Alright, I was going to do it. Curt came home and saw me prepping them and gave me that "really, I have to eat those tonight?" look. I assured him that it would be alright and we'd get through this experience together....you see, my dear hubby has similar memories of Christmas dinners past.
What you'll need: broussel sprouts, bacon, olive oil, parmesan cheese
(for added nutritional value, I also added Hemp Hearts...but I realize not everyone is a crunchy granola like me, and the dish is just as good without!)
I have to say...these were DELICIOUS!!
I never thought I'd utter these words....I love Brussel Sprouts!
